To answer your question, they SHOULD charge you for a hamburger, but they would probably still charge you for a cheeseburger, since you ordered a cheeseburger.

You answered your own question, if the hamburger doesn't have cheese, they must only charge you for the hamburger. If a cheeseburger has cheese, they must charge you for the cheese also.

People lack common sense seriously.

Dont play with their minds, they are too busy to see the joke, and will miss it completely and there goes the extra 15 cents for the non existent cheese, or is it more than 15 cents.

I think some cashiers can pick up immediately but they are trained to punch out the buttons. cheeseburgers might have a button all on its own so it will immediately charge you the regular rate. If you said "no cheese", the McD person will hit another button for :"no cheese:". The whole joke will simply fly over her head and she will just look at you waiting for the next few words that will come out of your mouth....such as large fries? lol

A cheeseburger without cheese is a hamburger! So why don't you just order a hamburger to make things easier?

why would you order a cheeseburger if all you want is a hamburger? Just for doing that they should charge you the price of a cheeseburger!

Hopefully, they would just charge you for a hamburger, but you should probably just order that from the beginning or you're just asking for cheese!

If you said no cheese on a cheese burger I would still charge you for it. Even though it is a hamburger you said cheese burger.
