Last I checked Gerald Ford was a former president of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA! James Brown may have been the God Father of Soul, but that's not really an important title now is it.

Ford was a former President, Brown was an entertainer. To even suggest that one was honored with a state funeral and the other wasn't was racist is total nonscience. If you saw James Brown's funeral on TV, he was loved by thousands at his "Final Concert", of people with all colors. Also, Brown didn't serve in the military, he was a former drug addict, alcoholic, beat his wives on occasion, and his youngest son wasn't included in his final will. He wasnt a politician but he was given a nice funeral in a solid gold coffin and laid out at the Apollo in N.Y.C. He had a HUGE turnout. R.I.P.
