Why can't I copy and paste a text from IE7 to Mozilla Firefox and vice versa?

I rarely encounter this problem. It rarely happens to me but it's really annoying. I tried using the keyboard shortcuts for copy and paste instead of the usual right click method, even closed all the browsers and reopened them but nothing changes. At this moment, everything's okay but I don't want this to happen again.

Does anybody else encounter this problem? Is it a cross-browser problem or just an annoying flaw of my pc?
