To have loved and lost. I would hate to go through life knowing that I never loved anyone. I might be hurt to lose that love, but I will cherish the memories forever.

The Former ,
As the basic principle of life is , you only learn something when you go wrong , othervice there is no learning at all ... Life teaches you a lot when you feel that you are going to / or have lost something ... you then value , cherish and beget the importance of that person in your life ...
whereas to have not loved at all , is like a toddler learning a bicycle , you would not learn till you fall ..
that is the lesson of life ....

To have loved and lost is better. I couldn't imagine if I never had chance to have loved at all and I wouldn't want to.

I'd choose to have not loved at all..it's better than have loved then lost it becuase that would be very hurting for me

You cant change a famous saying to fit your own situation.... i,e..It is better to love and lose than not to have loved at all. Maybe next time you hold yourself a little back keep some of yourself in reserve learn from this(should i say) hurting experieance and hopefully not to harmfull..........DONT GIVE UP say the words of a Tracie Chapman song OK.
