well i asked her out and she said i'll think about it and then after a week her friends told me she said no. But after that whole thing she began to be really shy around me and we don't really talk anymore. she looks at me alot during class and turns away when i look. i knew that she liked me before i asked her out. did she say no to hide that she liked me? also i got a friend to talk to her and she said she wanted to talk to me. then my friend called her while i was on the third line and my friend asked why she keeps looking at me during class and she said just to see what hes doing. then she kept going about the things she liked about me and then my friend asked do you like him and she said she'll tell him at school then they talked at school the next day and she does like me. i'm kinda confused now. i also noticed shes been trying to talk to me but is too shy. also one of her friends were pulling her towards me by her backpack while she was running the other way hmm

Looks like either
1) her friends perhaps initially didn't like you (and maybe thought she was too good for you or put pressure or her to avoid you to the point she freaked out and decided to back away). But she has liked you all along and, finally, her friends are starting to get a clue and are giving you some props (by trying to get you two together), but now she's confused by their "change of heart".
2) Either that or she may have initially been too scared liking you would ruin her relationship with her friends or started up too much gossip, or potential intimate situations with you she may not feel confident about yet. Either way she has issues that she doesn't know how to handle yet (often happens in first relationships IE "she's not ready yet").

Easy solution: talk to her when her friends aren't around and make jokes (not about her but just in general) to loosen her up and get her real opinion. Chances are it's a good one!

LOL sounds like and extremmely shy girl! She just didn't wanna tell you from the start or was afraid to get into a relationship, she might not have been ready. Just shy is all is my guess.

It might be a plan for you to get your nerve up and ask her directly rather than through friends. Take some cotntrol in your life and speak to her and quit playing chidish games. No guts no glory!
