What did you think of it? The stunts were a little "too much in the yeah right like that could ever happen" type. Plus Bond jokes in this more than saying trademark quotes.

Well, Sean Connery will always be hard to follow in my eyes.

Right from the beginning when they didn't have the usual catchy Bond music or opening sensational but believable stunt (instead, just all that gory killing from the start!), I was disappointed right then and there. This affected my attitude for the rest of the movie.

Still, it was mildly entertaining. On a scale of 1 to 10, I'd give it a 5.5.

I agree, I was thinking "BS!" with the stunt work on the cranes but it was a heck of a lot better than Pierce Bronsan's movies and those were impressive.

If you want joke lines, Roger M. had more in any of his movies than Daniel Craig did. Even, Sean Conery had a few (especially in "Diamonds Are Forever"); but the worse was George Latzenby.

So Craig wasn't quite smug as the others have been, big deal. I like his version a lot more than everybody else's.

I won't say it's the best 007 movie I've seen, but I have to agree with Pal in that it got back to basics and cut out alot of the high tech gadgets that were so overboard for awhile. It had lots of action, although a couple of plots seemed to run dry (for instance, what happened to the girls boyfriend they were talking about - he was supposed to be the reason she betrayed Bond!) As for Daniel Craig, apart for his talent and his oh so sexy Bod and Bum, Sean Connery will always be the best Bond for me.

Better than some of the more recent Bond films. And yeah, that scene with all the jumping was unbelievable. But I love the torture scene. One of the best scenes in the franchise.

Actors do only very little stunt work(= to expensive for insurance reasons).
Only Arnie Scwarznegger did also a lot (under his own risk).

I liked it, it was getting back to the basic James Bond (not too many gadgets). I thought the scene with the free-runner was insane...

Ruled. Much more like Fleming's Bond.
