Most of the players don't make the nfl. And God forbid u a good player and get hurt. all of the Tv revenues go to the school and the coaches. And don't give me that crap about a education cause football is a full-time job. so the players usually end up with a sorry degree with no job offers after college. Even kids that go college with a high gpa end up without a job and move in with their parents

In order to play college you cannot be a professional.. which makes sense.... As far as the money... I believe the money should go to charities for education... not the football program... not one penny of the tv revenues at least.

because the coaches are there to do a job, and players are there to get an education. and of course the players get a full ride for 4 or 5 years, lots of medical attention, as much tutoring as they need/want. a year at college is usually worth at least $10,000, so that $40,000 to $50,000 over their career that they don't have to pay, along with a trainer availible full-time. tutoring doesn't come cheap, but athletic departments offer lots of tutoring. and the primary reason is that college sports are still amateur, you don't get paid just because what you happen to do generates money. by your reasoning any time anyone does anything that makes money, they should get a cut. so the high school drama kids should all get paid as well, because they spent a lot of time putting on their play and people paid to see it. most schools barely make enough money on college football each year to break even, it's not like every school is making millions in profit each year, and that's including the big tv contracts. all the players are there because they love football and want to keep playing after high school and hopefully end up playing somewhere professionally. and of course if the players don't like not getting paid, they don't have to play.

In college, the players are the students; the coaches are the teachers. The students are learning a trade. Professors make more money than the students they teach. After graduation, and sometimes before graduation, some students go on to exceed the income of their instructors. It all works out in the end.

If the players are unhappy with their situation, they can quit football, pay their own way through school, and devote all of their time to their educations. Then they'll be able to get a better job after graduation.

If they got money they would be ineligible. Besides, they are getting free tuition etc. that is probably worth at least as much as a CFL minimun contract.
