your look should be natural looking enhancing your features. pick one thing to focus on. you can do total focus on your eyes and add a brown shadow highlighted by shimmery nude and gold shadow then line outer corners of eyes and then add fake lashes. blush should be natural but noticeable too.

If your eyelashes are very sparse, then yes, go with fakes. For an afternoon wedding, however, that may be a bit dramatic. You want to match the glamour-level of the rest of the party, not excede it. I worry that fakes may be a but much for the affair. I would go with neutral tones for the eyes, accented by a nice, brown mascara. You have a little more leeway if the wedding is soon, since more makeup is more acceptable at winter events than summer, but the bottom line is that you be comfortable. If you're used to applying fake lashes and can do it properly (I know I'm all thumbs and don't even try anymore) that's one thing. But if you'll be panicing the hour before the ceremony, trying to get the darn things on, then don't even bother. Looking relaxed and happy is prettier than any makeup, so don't sweat it!

It depends on your complexion though I have read from beauty magazines that make-up is best worn light during the day and heavier at night. You could try experimenting how you want to look days before the wedding. Just get the basics in make-up like foundation, eye shadow, cheek tint or blusher and lipstick that looks nice on your skin. You can look at magazines and copy the make-up of the models and you might want to try the faux eyelashes first before the wedding day to get yourself adjusted to wearing it.

faux eyelashes get to be pretty annoying unless you are really used to using them on an almost daily basis...i tried them once for my competition, and they didn't work, and they ended up falling off, and it was horrible....
my suggestion is goin into the mall, and going to macy's and going to the makeup booths...tell someone what you want, and they'll do your makeup for you...it takes no longer than a half anhour, and it's not verry expensive....and best of all, they do an awesome job...
i had them do mine for prom ,and it turned out amazing!!

i suggest that you wear abit dark make up as it is an afternoon wedding. if ur eyes are wide its pretty to wear a smoky black eye shadow on ur eye lids and spread it above ur eye lids abit and under your eye brows apply a shiny white eye shadow and between those 2 layers blind a light shiny pink eye shadow. apply a pink gloss and a pink blusher. however if your eyes are not wide enough i suggest you apply a purple eye shadow with a blind of black under your eyes and of course faux eye lashes are brilliant. Since pics are taken apply more foundation but not so much. hope u enjoy ur time!!

go light. afternoon makeup should be light, and natural looking. depending on your colouring, go with a nice pastel colour, and because you do want to look a little glamorous, you can use something with a little shimmer. I say no the fake lashes, cause they will take away from your natural beauty.

do something light - if youre not going to have a makeup artist for the bridal party, then maybe go to a department store and have someone at one of the counters do your make up - most places do it for free and do it well - its nice to purchase a few of the items used as a thank you and heck - then you get some new makeup out of the deal!!
