the insurgents are not beating the arm or the marines. They are being badly beaten by them.
the failure in Iraq is not military it is political. The U.S. is not actually backing any group in Iraq (except the Kurds). We are semi-backing the government, except it includes Sadr and his militia which the U.S. is trying to fight.
The Iraqi government is deliberately losing the fight. The powerful in Iraq want civil war - the fighting is how they got their power.
Given a free hand to fight the insurgents the U.S. could literally level Iraq. It chooses not to because there would be no benefit.
People who think the U.S. pulling out and letting Iraq dissolve into civil war is somehow a win for Iraqi's are fooling themselves. It is a win for the U.S. which is currently just losing a few lives a week stopping Iraqi's from killing each other.

i'm merely curious what his strategies on those concerns have been earlier Obama took place of work. i'm continually for sure skeptical of any monitoring gadgets of any form. Even Metrocards, that are what you utilize to pay your fare on NYC subways and buses shop a checklist of the place you entered and the place. (notice to the sensible, do not use a metrocard on your thank you to commit a criminal offense - even so, don;t use a motor vehicle with onstar the two) yet i'm curious to be responsive to if Beck exchange into railing against the Bush administration while they started family members eavesdropping. returned, i think of we would desire to continually continually be skeptical of government's ability to hint inner maximum voters, yet while Beck starts off off, you will desire to contemplate whether he's relatively scared approximately those issues, or is merely utilising an apprehension tactic to backhandedly smear the Democratic president.

Sad but true. It's a tragedy that one would have to jest about such realities for the sake of maintaining sanity--but that's what our leadership propogates. Letting the enemy know that this is it--as far as military strategy--makes them more confident and dedicated to their cause--Bush is a fool!!!!

Perhaps you, like me, would prefer not to have Taliban and al Qaeda using Iraq for a base to build weapons to attack the US.
