Come on give us at least a clue!!

My favorite episode.......I could say it was whatever episode I watched most recently, but that would be a cop out!!

I do love TZ....all humility aside, I'm one of the top 10 TZ fanatics on the planet.....I own all 156 episodes from it's five year run, that is 136 half hour shows & 18 hour long shows.

Just the same I always watch when it comes on, & usually hunker down for the TZ marathons Sci-Fi runs on holiday weekends. Part of the fun is being able to name the episode within 5 seconds of the opening scene coming on.

Pretty ate up I know, but we all have our addictions. Rod Serling was a genius, & it was a huge loss when his health took him from us in June '75'

The show was a groundbreaker on using TV for social comment as mentioned by another responder.

And my favorite episode...after rambling for ten minutes.....To Serve Man......w Printers Devil (1hr).......The 7th is Made up of Phantoms....Obsolete Man.......100 Yards Over the Rim...following close behind depending on my mood!!

Thanks for asking, & giving me an excuse to talk about something I love so much..(hey I even put it in my profile!)

Update..."the Hunt" is also a great episode! Is your favorite "The Invaders"? "Time Enough at Last"? "In praise of Pip"? Just finished watching "Judgement Night" it's a pretty thoughtful consideration of the ugliness of war, which Serling often spoke out against....."in Praise of Pip" was in fact the first mention of Viet Nam on a network program.....

The classic one were the lady is in the hospital and has a problem with her face. The doctors are keeping her in the dark about her appearance and when she finaly sees herself she looks fine but to her she's ugly and the rest of the doctors and nurses all have alien pig noses as if they're the normal ones.

&

I also like a more recent one were the family of four go to live in a neighborhood where there are strict rules and everyone is constantly surveyed. One of two sisters is a bit rebelious and in the end they turn her into compost for trees because she didn't follow the rules.

"The Masks" episode...but there were so many others that I liked...mainly because the Twilight Zone’s writers frequently used science-fiction as a metaphor for social comment.
Take care!

I like the one where the young beautiful woman who is about to get married to the perfect man goes out to ride her horse. While out riding she's chased by this old hag screaming at her. It terrifies her and people go out to try to find the hag but no one can find her. They tell the young woman not to let it upset her before the wedding. She takes their advice and gets married. Fast forward several years and you find out that Mr. Perfect wasn't so great after all. He's neglectful and violent. She's extremely unhappy. One day she goes out riding and sees herself as a young woman riding her horse. She remembers the ride before the wedding, and takes off trying to warn her younger self not to marry this man. She's not successful.

"The Hunt"

"A hunter and his faithful dog are drowned while chasing a raccoon, and confront a gatekeeper who implies that he is St. Peter and that Heaven lies inside."

I've always loved that one.
