I mentally go through a checklist of ideas, motives, or goals that I would like my brain to subconsciously think while in a better train of thought. Oftentimes, you will dream AND solve problems in your sleep if you train yourself to do it. When you wake up, it will feel as if you were better prepared to encounter those problems the next day.
Train your body to wake up at a certain time. "I want to wake up at this certain time". I have done this many times and find that I will wake up on or before the time I have set on my alarm clock.

it's differant for me every night
i can...
do no. 1
brush my teeth
take a hot bath
remove the makeup i wore during the day (if i didn't do that earlier)
make faces in front of the miror
or i talk to my friends on msn messanger. most of the time it's my best friend. she lives in england now so i have to keep in touch ^_^
i don't have a rutine. i simply don't find any sense in one. i'd rather live life and not knowing what i do next than live in a journal. the more surprises the better!

I go pee, set the alarm on my cell while smoking a cigarette, drink something, turn out the lights and roll over.

Go pee, smoke a cig, curl up in bed, let dog in the bed wait till she gets comfy, readjust, then I am out.

Put lavender scented lotion all over my hands and neck. It makes my skin super soft and lavender is supposed to calm and soothe you. It makes me fall right to sleep.

turn on lava lamp( used if i have to get up to pea) and about an hour before bed turn heater on ( i have an old cold house in winter time)
