I used to live in a big city until I graduated from college and had to move back in with my parents due to lack of funds and problems finding a good paying job. But, the town I live in has no opportunities in the entertainment industry that pay! I want to leave this small town by the Summer of 2007 and move to L.A. to pursue a career in music entertainment. What are some tips that you can give in order to make this happen, and how can I add on some more money etc.?

Honestly, the best way to get away is just to make the moving plans and physically do it. Buy a plane ticket, bus ticket, or whatever, and rent an apartment or stay with a friend there as long as you can. As soon as you get there, try to meet plenty of new people--a lot of success is who you know and being in hte right place at the right time. LA is a really tough place to make it big and there are hoards of young people there trying to make it in entertainment, but a few of them actually do succeed. If that's what you really want, then just be courageous and make it happen (and don't let anyone in your small town talk you out of it). Good luck!

If you can get into marketing or PR you can get into any industry you want. Depends on what your degree is in really. There are tons of professional organizations that will help you network and get to know people in your desired field. I would say join some of these groups and start networking every chance you get.
But LA is extremely competitive..so be realistic in what your dreams are. It is teaming with people looking to get into the entertainment industry that move here only to be disappointed. You see them everywhere..people wanting to get their big break.

Get some cash together and start day or swingtrading. That should get you some more money fast, and soon you should have some extra capital to do what you want with. Just start with a little until you get the hang of it.
