One of the thing I cant get over is how present it is here...its everywhere!! People sing in the middle of the shops at shopping malls...in the street till 3am every morning....whats the attraction?
and from what I have observed not to many that I hear can hold a tune...but just sing loudly.....
Is it an area where its so accepted it doesnt matter what you sound like?
Just curious thats all....no disrespect of course =)

none taken...it's just a way of expressing oneself,a good theraphy...I was once shy to sing during karaoke because I can't really sing that well,but once you start singing,my shyness started to fade away,it's a stress buster for me,but I don't agree with people singing at the most unholy hour when you're trying to sleep.Those people should think of their neighbors.

Expect a lot of curious people, they will act shy around you, and some will be intimidated. Girls will flock around your precense, becasuse you look like a star there. Ah expect a lot of karoeke, and red horse beer. Um they will take you to a bar or disco... it is insanely hot. You will be transported via tricycle that you will not fit haha. But dude just bring whatever clothes; no jackets, slippers, do not act rich. You will get girls easy, Filipino chicks there do not compare to our American Filipinos so you will be shocked... And Kuya and Ate are used if you dont know. You will eat tons of rice and fish.

Karaoke is a something that filipino's like to do, Its no big deal.
I have a decent beautiful sound to my voice and I enjoy the feeling of happiness through songs. Its good home entertainment.

Well, San Miguel and Red Horse have alot to do with it. Over there I didn't bar hop, I karaoke hopped and had so much fun doing it. The worse I sang the more San Miguel they handed me. Its catchy and I would do it again!!

That's their favorite past time. When they're stress enough, all they do is sing. It also show's that aside from they love singing most of the pinoys are talented.

Singing makes people feel good wether they can hold a note or not. It is as addictive as video games. You should tried it, go on, dont be shy.

It is the Philippine way of driving tourists from the country. The Filipinos have no respect for anyone. I had to move because the neighbors were cater-wailing at 3 am on three sides of my home.
Most have no jobs and are not looking for a job. They prefer to let their sisters or mothers support them, while they drink tuba or beer and sing very badly.
