I always wash my silk blouses and other silk clothing in washing machine on gentle wash, let them half dry (not in a dryer) and iron when damp.

You can wash it in the washer no big deal but then i am guessing its gonna get wrinkly and you might have a hard time ironing it and hey if it is an expensive blouse better just have it dry cleaned.

I always wash my silk blouses by hand. Wash each one seperately and in cold water with mild soap. wash it gently by hand and wring out and lay flat to dry.
**Most people just waste money at the cleaners.

Hand washing silk gently in cold water is fine. Do not machine wash it or it may tear or at very least lose the silky feel (have lost a few shirts that way :-( so don't machine wash)

I wash my silk garments by hand and have no problem.

Remember, silk was first used for garments back in ancient China, and I am absolutely positive that there was no such thing as dry cleaning back then.

I permit my silk blouses soak in a sinkful of chilly water with Woolite. enable them to soak for half-hour or so, then rinse and draw on the edge of dry. It does not ruin them. (be careful if it is a print or formidable shade although! the colour does bleed slightly.)

Hand wash gently with Wool-lite and cool water, rinse and roll up in a towel to remove excess water, hang on a plastic hanger to dry, touch up with warm iron to remove wrinkles. You may also add a few drops of fabric softner in rinse water and smooth seams after hanging to dry.
