No they sould not there are no bad dogs only bad owners and breeders. A vast majority of the time these dogs are owned by the wrong people who get them for the wrong reasons. I have a Pit who is the most loving sweetest dog you will ever meet, and my younger Lab is his boss. In that story there were 3 dogs which makes it worse because of the pack mentality, there is no way they should ever have been lose. Watch Cesar Milan he defends the breed along with some other "gladiator" breeds. The dogs are not the problem the people are, and if you ban all the pits the idiots will find another breed to exploit for their power. You got to fix the source of the problem first which is not the dogs.

I do not own a pit bull, so I feel I can answer unbiased.
Genocide is wrong no matter the reason. As for this not being a beautiful animal, I'm sure the people who have them as pets would disagree. It's also well known that pit bulls can be loving pets when treated with respect. If you are still set on genocide, perhaps you could target the more likely culprit: The real monsters. The "people" who torment and purposely mistreat these animals for the sole purpose of turning them mean. I think that would more likely solve the problem.

NO!!!! I have Three pit and they play well with my kids and their friends. I trust my dogs with my life and my kids lives. I've raised them to love people. It's all in how they're raised. Some stupid, irresponsible owners have caused this bull sh*t for all pits. There are more dog attacks by other breads. Why do we never hear about these? Because the public make pits out to be kills just thirsting for blood. I've been bit by a poodle and my son was bitten by a St.Bernard I also have a friend that was bit by a lab. O,my god should we start killing them too. I don't even know anyone that as been bit by a pit. I know everyone as their opinion And I do respect that. Instead of giving all pits a bad name their owners need to take some responsibility too. However, when an individual dogs bits it may again. You should do a poll, on what type of dogs people have been bitten.

Yes, some pits do attack people. But some other breeds also attack people. I have encountered several aggressive dogs, one which bit my mother, none that were pit bulls. I own a mix with pit, and just your suggestion of euthanizing him seems ridiculous. My dog is a sweetheart, gets along great with all the neighborhood children, and does not deserve a death sentence. The people who are owning these aggressive dogs are obviously not taking care of them properly. What would annihilating that breed accomplish? Those who were using them to fight would just find a new breed.
