A lot of proffesional actor do relaxation techniques such as meditation. It is highly effective. Put some relaxing music on, lay on you bed with closed eyes, when you are as realx as possible after a couple of minutes. Imagine in your head, that you are in front of the jury for your recall. In you imagination you are soo realx and everything is perfect. you audition is just the way you want it.
See when the human mind is in a relax state it can be tricked to believe that something actually is happening even though you are imagining it. (its like hypnosis).
So you are tricking you mind to believe that you just have been in front of the jury and nothing scary happened. If you do this a couple of times (once a day) before you audition, the day you actually are auditioning, you will not be soo nervous. Your brain will not try to protect you by making you nervous. as it already has already experienced some good auditions from you the earlier nights...and the fear of failing is over.
Also warm up throughly just before you audition, it will wake your body up.

Well first, as far as the singing goes, do not eat anything or drink anything with dairy in it right before your audition. If you want a good combination of something that will both calm your nerves and help your voice, drink decaf chamomile tea with some lemon in i because citrus helps your vocal chords. Also, before you launch into the song at the audition, just take a moment to breathe deeply and center yourself. Don't look at the casting directors at all. Just look out to the "audience" (which will of course be nobody at this point), pretend you are completely alone in your bedroom, singing for no other reason than to amuse yourself, and then... just let loose. Smile, move around and have fun with the song! This will help you to feel like the song is your friend, not your enemy and make you feel less nervous: ) Oh and don't forget to breathe between lines so you don't run out of air for the long high notes and make sure to sing from your diaphragm not your throat. Good luck!

Three things have woked for me.
1) If time is left, practice several times, and try to make the environment as close to what you will ecounter during tryouts (in front of several people, staning up, etc.)
2) Before going up there, do something to physically "jar" your nervous system into a ready state (I jumped and shooked my arms and whispered "what a to do to die today" - a tongue twister/warm up). Remeber to take a deep breath when you get up there
3) Thrive off that nervous energy, use it. There is an element of uncertainty and the possibility for error when doing something live. If you were not a bit nervous and exhilarated, there would be something wrong with you. All you can do is your best.

you've gotta channel your nervousness into your audition.
it will give you all the energy you would ever need.
oh, and don't forget to breathe!
