I followed the advice given and tried time out, when my back was turned the 2 yr old jumped me. Is this domestic violence?

Yes, you were wrong. Technically, it is domestic violence, but due to the age of the child, the guardian is responsible, so you turned yourself in. Serves you right for letting a two year old get the jump on you.

You should have called the parents first and told them how you had EXCHANGED blows with their 2 year old and that you needed them to come and retrieve thier child. Of course they'll be mad, but not nearly as mad as they'd be to find out you've lost control to the point where you felt you needed police intervention. If you did call the police I hope you told them about your end of the hitting, and I hope you do not agree to babysit or try having children of your own at any point in the near future.

Oh please! You didn't really call the police. If you did, they should take you away.
Sounds like you have a little Chuckie doll on your hands. Take some parenting classes, read some books on child discipline. Don't involve the police yet. I'd wait till he's at least 5. LOL

Gotta be a stricter parent, and if have to, use handcuffs, the fuzzy ones of course, you would not want to hurt the 2 year old, unless its your husband/boyfriend acting like a 2 year old.
