I was getting busy in the office at work, (I work at a major grocery chain), and we were too into each other and didn't notice that the intercom had come on! Everyone in the store heard me tell the boss to "give it to me!"

Somebody much elder, renowned, learned & scholarly showering appreciation for a 'chance' reply, an abrupt solution to a complex problem etc !
Some answers evoke such communication from other readers whose stature, qualifications etc just humbles instantly, and causes great embarrasment !

I was the only Private up in front of about 50 Officers and NCOs, and no one told me why I was up there.
