But it takes an eastern mind to understand this....
We must define dieties.....
I will make up my own definition.....lol...
A prescribed focus of thought, and emotion (usually reverence) that activates a consciousness of a certain frequency of energy/emotion/lesson to be learned....
To give an example is a diety of compassion
many people focus reverence towards a picture, it creates a big ball of compassion, the more people that focus on this ball of compassion the more powerful this energy becomes, this energy becomes attached to the picture for humans to relate to.... Some in need of compassion can consume from this ball through "asking" others just raidiate love/compassion/reverence towards this ball increasing its power...
this ball is called Kwan Yin in buddhism and Avolikitesvara in hindu
compassion is the most lacked substance on the planet....
so my point is that there are as many dieties as people that focus on them......
