he probably thinks you are food... you could start holding him with gloves or material and then slowly go to your hands..

Don't put your hands into the cage to get him out - cos he will think you are feeding him..

and don't always feed him with your hands like giving him food.. just use the bowl...

what we used to do to get him out was let him walk into a tube, tak the tube outa the cage and let him walk onto our hands..

also make sure your hands dont smell

I had a biting hamster. Dwarfs can be aggressive and hamsters cant be trained because everything they do is by instinct. Perhaps, and i am sorry for saying this, is to take him back to the pet store and get a different less aggressive hamster.

You just got your hamster. Let him get used to his new home. He needs time to adapt. Hamsters usually bite the bars because they're teeth are so long. It's normal. How your hamster is acting is normal. Give it some space and time. Maybe another week. Just keep feeding it and giving it fresh water. It will adapt.

you can try these method,You should use them as a pet when they are very young, now i think is too late .put tissue in the cage to let him play.find another partner for him(not the same sex) let him use out all he/her energy, and feed him until he do not want to move.

He may have been abused by the other hamsters. Take him back and get another one. It will be worth it.

Let him get to know you. When you feed him every day let him sniff you. Pretty soon he will know you are his friend. Right now he's just trying to protect himself. Good luck.
