My brother is claiming that his top bar "file", "edit", "view", "help", etc. isn't viewable, and I don't know how to help him fix it. My guess is it's "Alt+(something)" but don't know what.

well I'm guessing it's IE7 if it is right click on a blank spot by the tab section don't click open new tab. after you right click a menu will come up click on menu bar.....Volla File, Edit, View, Favorites,Tools and Help. Oh yea the way you was talking about is alt F but the bar will not stay that way.
