We wear clothes because they are protective, exhibit individualism, can be provacative, and are often used to denote class. I am a man and would not want to go around with my frank and beans exposed due to the risk of injury.

You are right, we wear clothes for protection. It is not really wrong not to wear clothes, but through the Ages, ethics have built up. People should not expose their bodies in the public - keeping that only for close relations (mother to child, husband to wife, lovers), as an expression of intimacy, closeness and trust.
Not wearing clothes is not wrong but it is winter and it is so cold outside!!

Well, if your a Christian that believes the Bible, then it's part of the "Fall" for you. When Adam and Eve sinned one of the things that happened was shame over being nude. They made clothes for themselves.
For another answer, there are a lot of people I am glad decide to wear clothes. For me, it's definitely a safety thing ... for my thing.

Let's see... We wear clothes for warmth and protection, and people PROBABLY decided it was "wrong" when religion came about and they were determining creation stories, like the book of Genesis in the Bible, when Adam and Eve were cast out of the garden of Eden, where they were naked. Once out in the big bad world, they were ashamed of their nudity. Or something.

According to legend and the Bible. When Adam and Eve were created, they were not ashamed for being nude. But when they eat that forbidden Tree of Knowledge. They realized that they were naked. Became modest and put on clothes.
One is in his/her birthday suit when one is naked. That's the way we were born. In today's parlance, clothes are needed for protection from the weather. For aesthetic value, for morality and modesty issues; for fashion. and for sex distinction.

That goes as far back as Adam and Eve: I am sure the devil had some influence in that.
