Who's they?

Relax man. I don't think there is any crime in lying in a chat room anyway. People tell lies much worse than that all the time. And, that guy, he was BSing you.

i sincerely doubt that you have anything to worry about. you were joking, and as long as you didn't do anything incriminating, like going to far with it or saying something malicious... what could you even get in trouble for? people in this country have a right to free speech... that includes sarcasm in a chat room. you didn't hurt anyone or break any laws... you didn't technically impersonate an fbi agent. besides, do you really think anyone would believe you? if you were an fbi agent you wouldn't have said so. I wouldn't worry too much about it... besides that jerk was probably just trying to scare you

Don't worry about. It really is nothing. I do not think they can get you on impersonating a police officer from a chat especially when you came out and said no I'm not really. Besides its not like you tried to arrest someone or take advantage of someone so it does not matter.

I believe that the fbi can actually sort and watch everything that is said online and via other means of communication so if they find it threatening to our saftey they will contact you. I highly doubt though, that they will find it harmful. Just be careful what you say.

Normally, I say don't worry about it but in this day and age I would reserver 10% of chance to the abnormal... but you didn't do or say anything wrong so i wouldn't worry about it. I don't balme you for worrying, shows that you're a thinker and not a drone like most Americans.

who gives a dam? paranoia is rampant in todays world. forget it. they have more important things to do, like invade people's privacy as often as they can.
