They are feeding on grubs. In my experience grubs can do more damage than the moles. I would leave them be until they bring the grub problem under control, then they will move on anyway. The only problem moles cause is the unsightly tunnels, and you can just push that back into place with your foot. They don't eat plants.

we bought a gopher trap, dig in the mound of dirt until you find their cavern, and put your gopher trap as far down in it as far as you can, fasten it with a wire to an anchor, and you should be able to see your 'fishing line' tighten up ! grab the wire and pull your mole up, take him off the trap and throw him back in the hole and cover it up with dirt. Other moles use old tunnels, and may discourage new moles.

They make lots of poisons, and traps for the average consumer for gophers, and you can usually pick them up at any hardware store. For licensed pesticed aplicators like myself there is a product available that is alluminum phosphide fumigant tablets, that works really well, but ya gotta be careful your dog doesnt eat them.

Buy one of thos sonic tranmitter things for killing moles. Stick it in the hole and turn it on and keep it there until there gone. Or you can gas the burrows with a hose and car exhaust.
