You know it is possible to have a male friend in your life that is not a person you want in a romantic way but is a friend in deed, and who will give you mental aid and comfort. Don't be afraid of these types of guys. Most guys have protective feelings for girls in general without having to get all ga ga over you. So even if you don't really fancy a guy at least he is some company, someone to talk to and if trust develops someone to confide in. Also don't you have any girl pals? Surely they will understand your feelings? Your body is at age 17, something that is still trying to settle down into full womanhood, all the hormones are still trying to arrange themselves and decide what to do with you! Now if you get some very bad, unbearable pain by all means get yourself some help at the doctor, there is nothing noble in suffering that very long. Lastly the right fellow WILL come into your life love, this is such a true life fact. Be ever so patient with your self, it is only so normal to want love, and friendship, and marriage with a guy who loves you and treats you right as you want to be treated. And do you know that he could be one of the ones you just now do not fancy! My wife now for (well if I told you HOW long you would dismiss me as a geezer) all these years, when we first met got into a big row, we actually could not stand each other! But for some reason she started to look better and better to me, I still don't know what happened! But we did marry, had 3 sons, and now a house full of grandchildren who give us great joy. Wife and I are total opposites too. So please be kind and gentle to yourself and give that next guy who asks you for a date a break, do it for yourself too. I am very certain you will not regret that.
