Wow i had to double check your screen name i thought my husband could have wrote this. Even though i am not on this site or any other 24/7 i could spend like 2 hours a day on the computer and be told i ''live'' on here. It's not that hard for me to get off the computer it's just i come on here out of bordem. Anyway, maybe take your clothes off and your wife will get off the computer. Or you can try unplugging it. Suggest watching a movie or something.

I suppose this depends on what other circumstances and factors are affecting your lives right now as well as the age of your son. Personally, I don't think asking anonymous strangers what to do about your wife's internet usage without providing personal facts is almost pointless.
I do wish you the very best of luck. Perhaps it might be better to speak with her about why she's using the internet/computer so much and what other areas of her life are being affected if it is a true addiction. Best luck to you.

Tell her that her husband and son have questions that need answering too. Tell her you appreciate her advice and well, lately you and your son are missing her company and the communication. Suggest that all of you do more together and offer specific times that are good for you. Even suugest that all three of you get on-line and answer and/or ask questions together for a little while once or twice a week.

I would suggest going out to the mall or going out to eat ,Movies, bowling or something like that.start giving her a shoulder and neck rub then kiss her on the side of the lips and then suggest something.Lets go do something. If not just go and do stuff with your kids. She'll follow I'm sure .If not she'll have time to think of her time alone and what she missed. When you come back let her know what she missed.Let her know you had a good time without her but with a smile on your face.don't try to start a fight that could make matters worse.

Talk to her about it.Tell her that this bothers you and that you would like for her to spend more time with you and the child.Family time.Make plans for this family time together.Games, movie and popcorn, taking after dinner walks, having your child read to you both or read to him.Alone time after putting your son to bed, maybe give her a message, take a shower together, write her a poem and read it to her.You get my point.Make it happen.

This says to me she is in need of sometihng more stimulating in her life "mentally"...This her escapism -- her pick-me-up... I dont think it is a good idea to take that away from her (as people suggest in here) because its sometihng she needs to feel useful and productive. We all need escapism at times be it through sports, watching tv, or answering questions. I think you should just bring it up to her to remind her about her growing attention away and i think she will start to balance it out but i doubt she would ever give it up and no one should have that forced onto them.
And her answering questions is satisfying because she gets a sense of worth because they will love her for taking the time to share her knowledge/experience to help someone out. She in ways is sharing her love in this world and it makes her feel good about that.
Kinda funny if she ends up coming in here and answering this question to....

That's because she is dating half of us on-line.
Seriously, walk up to her in the buff with Mr. happy at full attention while she is typing away...see if she notices. Her response will tell you all you need to know.
