Super Bowls always trumps numbers! Montana being held in higher esteem than Marino (generally) is a prime example. I still thik Manning will win one at some point and change his image a la Elway.

No doubt about this one...Brady. In any sport you have to be a god in every stat possible in order to break into the Hall of Fame without winning a championship.
Take the baseball Hall of Shame for example. There is only one 3rd basemen who has better lifetime numbers than Ron Santo and that's Mike Schmidt. Ron never was on a winning team and is still trying to fight his way into the hall.
Let's face it the sportwriters who do the voting give much more weight to players who have been on championship teams than they do to players who have been on average, or worse yet bad teams.
Then there are positions that make the Pro Football Hall of Shame tough to break into. How many tight ends have made it? Check it out on the hall site. Ditka was the first and he had to wait 16 years after he retired. The real question is would he EVER have been elected if he didn't coach the Bears to a SuperBowl win in '86? Seems odd that one of the best tight ends to ever play the game had to wait 16 years and then it didn't happen until after he coached the Bears to a title.

at the end of the day, ppl remember the superbowls more. Brady will be remembered as the guy who pulled off a lot of wins that nobody thought were possible.

Both. Case in point, Terry Bradshaw and Dan Marino. Four-time Superbowl champ and all-time passer in several categories. Both in the Hall of Fame. 'Nuff said.

both will be compared until the end of time, like Joe Montana and Dan Marino. i live near SF so Joe Montana is much more glorified here but i'm not sure about in other places. or maybe people respect super bowl wins over broken records

Ya i do think it will be tom brady. But take a look at terry bradshaw, he isn't nearly as revered as dan marino or jim kelly but won 4 more superbowls then they did. so who can say, but right now i would say tom brady.
