i live in baltimore maryland and i want my tongue pierced but i dont want my parents to know and i want to find a place to do it so they wont ask for parent permission

that would be a completely illegal place where you probably don't want them to touch your tongue...
by the way, your parents WILL notice... trust me...
you can always borrow an id from someone else who is 18... though illegal...

it's not about whether you're old enough to make the decision - It's about the law. I'm not sure where you are, but I'm gonna bet the laws are pretty much the same anywhere. Legally the age of majority is still 18. If you go to any kind of a reputable place (ie: one where you won't get hepatitis) they're going to ask for 1) ID and 2) your parents consent. If your parents are not present, they won't do it. They could get in loads of trouble if they do. Look at it this way - If you were trying to get genital or nipple piercings they wouldn't do it under any circumstances, due to your age.

You are NOT grown as your Avata indicates. You are VERY IMMATURE! Dear, at 17 you are barely out of childhood, regardless of what you might think. It's illegal prior to age 18. Your parents will notice and probably be very disappointed. Just wait a while and the urge to do this will probably pass. This type of piercing is both unattractive and very unhealthy. It makes you look cheap and weird, and also can cause major infection. And check out the poster who told you she had hers done in Miami and also other bodily parts. Sounds like a real winner, doesn't she! Not!!!!

I know a few places in my town. Try nail salons, I know it sounds bad, but they do have their licenses, and some even just say to take home a piece of paper and get it signed by your "parent or gaurdian" ... use you imagination. Most parlors will ask for identification, so call around and hopefully that works for you.

Go to the hood hunny. I live in Miami and got mine done when I was 16 in Carol City. Sure I was the only white person there but I got my tongue pierced so who cares. Same for my tats. They don't give a sh*t.

Good chance that place won't be legitimate, so I'd just ask the parents before they have to remove part of your tongue.

Why not just wait til you're 18? You're already close to being 18 so I don't see a problem with just waiting.
