One of the other questions about music got me thinking...why is it that music touches the core of so many people? What is it about music that can ease your mind, allow you to "zone out" of every day life and drift away to some fantasy place? After all, music is typically human voices, man made objects, all making noise simultaniously. How do these actions lead to creating something that is such a force in our every day life and such a big influence in our society? You rarely find anyone that doesn't enjoy some type of music. What exactly is it about music that makes it enjoyable?

Good question. I personally dont know why. When I hear a song that makes my emotions all funny it's because I can relate to something in the song with my life. It just sometimes kinda hits home. Really hard. Then when you hear the song you then realize that you are not the only person out there with that problem, or feelings.

I think that music touch's ppl bcuz sometimes the music deals with how ppl feel and what they have been through and they dont feel so alone. Ppl feel that what the listen to expresses how they feel and what they believe.. like say a jesus freak isnt going to listen to 50 cent for moral reasons and someone that listens to Em wouldnt listen to something like Three wooden cross's they cant relate to it... it has no meaning to where they are in this point in there life.....

Ah...good question! In other words, I'd like to know the answer too. Music is one of humanities greatest achievement's. It is a wondrous fascination. Mysterious, alluring, haunting, uplifting, medicating, sedating, moving, giving, expressing, many things that we as people aspire to be or long for in a lover or significant other.

Music is eternal. It lasts forever. It is rooted in vibrations and so is color, so depending on the type of music you listen to, you also create imagery for your mind. Its like a drug that we will never get off of... extremely addictive... almost as addictive as air.
