I've also wondered the same thing. I'm a full figured women and was having a hard time finding white men that date full figured women until I met my boyfriend five years ago. I really think it has to do with the cultures, I believe in some parts of Africa, being plump, etc, was a sign of wealth and fertility. I have dated both black and hispanic men and they do have a genuine appreciation for the curves.

Well some people get it confused they think that all Black men and Hispanic men like big women. They like curvy women, there's a difference between curvy and big. But I always wondered that myself. I notice that many black and hispanic women don't try to be thin or rail thin because many black and hispanic men prefer curvy women over thin women.

You are stereo-typing. There are many blacks and hispanics that prefer thin women and many whites who prefer fuller-figured women. It would be more proper to ask why *some men* prefer skinny women and *other* men prefer large sized women.

I used to think that AA/Hispanic men just had the leftover women, but apparently curves are sexy in the cultures as well...more cushion for the pushin' if you will

well i live in anartica and many eskimo men prefer women with round faces and big coats and money
and why do u prefer to ask a question i see many white men dating large sized women to tell u the truth i still dont know if black people exist any more and wat are hispanics

I doubt that only white men prefer skinny. My husband is black and i'm asian and skinny too.

it all has to do with culture. In many hispanic 'cultures' a curvy body for a woman means that she is healthy and gets plenty to eat. [the same goes for asian cultures, esp. indian]. I think that the same goes for black men...they just like the curves better than the straight lines.

ITS CALLED PREFERENCE. I KNOW A LOT OF BLACK MEN WHO LIKE SMALL WOMEN. IT IS ALL ABOUT WHAT THAT SPECIFIC PERSON LIKES. HOWEVER, IT IS IN OUR CULTURE.. A LOT OF BLACK MEN LOVE HEALTHY LOOKING WOMEN, AND (NOT TO SOUND RACIST) A LOT OF WHITE PEOPLE CONSIDER IT TO BE FAT.

noticed that too. my theory is they usually had big mothers and they tend to be cllosely bonded more than white kids. and it is like the old song "i want a girl just like the one dear old dad married," i guess.
