I like it. I think the rest of the page is too busy. Shrink the other images and add some introductory text between the banner and the beginning of the images. Just my opinion.

Yes, the flag draws your eye to that corner. The page looks good its well set out. If you can get a slower moving flag it may be ok.

somewhat...if you slowed down the flag or made the image less bright it wouldnt be, but other than that its a good looking site
