I was watching The Truman Show today. The movie with Jim Carrey. It got me to thinking. Would you ever watch a show like that? If they taped someones life constantly without their consent and put it on tv for all to see. I think it might be interesting at first, but to watch it from the time of his birth until he is what, in his 30's? Would get boring after awhile. Plus, it would be really messed up to do that to someone. Good movie though. :)

Yeah it'd get boring, but I'd follow it on some website that gives us all the highlights and short clips of all the juicy parts. I'd have to watch the part where he discovers what's going on and tries to break free.

Idk if it would really be that boring. If it was realistic, they would always have him doing things so it's NOT boring. They could put events and/or people into his life that make it more interesting. He wouldn't have a normal life like most of us. Also, I feel like 'Truman' was a very interesting 'individual' because they raised him that way in the 'show.' (If it was real) (: thanks for asking I liked this question, I love thinking abkut this type of thing

i loved the movie. the world you live in is much like the Truman Show. Once you realize that reality is just a concept, nothing matters anymore except escaping the world your mind perceives as real. Reality is just a maze of walls, borders, and laws that you create in your mind. Once you realize this, anything is possible. There is a word doctors use for these people; mentally insane is the proper term

I'd probably end up watching once and awhile. I don't think I'd get hooked though since it would get a little boring after awhile. I'd probably tune in every few months or once a year. I would feel like a jerk if the person didn't know so I might be a bit conflicted.

I thought that was an incredibly sad movie. I think if we had something like that televised, I would peroidically check in to see what was going on.

No I won't.
Truman depicts a 'real reality', but I hate the so-called 'reality' genre.
