I work for a restaurant chain that has a certain type of female that works for them. We are required to look good in our uniform and some of the girls are not fitting the standard anymore. Just recently the management staff made a decision to not allow any girl eat fried foods within the walls of the restaurant. We offer a large variety of fried foods and without breaks where you actually clock out, we can only eat while on shift. Fried foods are just easier to eat and I just don't find this fair that we are unable to eat certain things. Can they do this?

did you ever ask management why no fried food?
why just girls? why not all employees?

sounds like discrimination to me. ask questions,
get the answers in writing. if you don't agree with the answers, take to an attorney.

Sounds like a bunch of Communists running the place.
Some cities like I think NYC for example are trying to get rid of Trans-fats.
Unless they have some written statement that you have signed and agreed to comply with this outrageous BS, then I would say its an illegal move on their behalf.
Don't you just LOVE America! Everyday someone is thinking of a NEW WAY to infringe upon or take away our personal freedoms. I'm beyond sick and tired of this trash. Anyone??

There's no legal obligation of the restaurant to give any free food at all to its employees. At most restaurants where I've worked, we just eat whatever the cook wants to make for us.. and we're pretty lucky if they give us a choice.

So I'm pretty sure the restaurant can do whatever they want.. or not give you any service meal at all.

Hmmm. sounds discriminatory to me. I dont think a restaurant manager has the authority to regulate someone's diet. I really don't think that was a company-wide decision either.

Arent you glad your employers care about America's pandemic to their employers. Be proud you are working for them. It may not sound fair but at least you are not going to be size 16 in one year.
If you are looking for a possible lawsuit, talk to the lawyers
