what are the significance of these:

1. No national currency
2. No separate executive
3. No power to tax
4. Spain's denial of right of deposit at New Orleans
5. Inability to repay french loans
6. Barbary pirates raided shipping
7. Inability to protect settlers from indians

The Articles were approved by the second Contenial Congress and defines the country and powers of the Federal Government. It was later replaced by the Constitution....which gave many more powers to the Federal government.
