she could be irritable because of the dieting, pills, etc,( or she could just be a lousy friend, lol, j/k). Tell her you're sorry about the falling out and nothing more, but you're friendship means to much to end it over just that. Tell her your situation, *remind her you're pregnant*, and I'd even go as far as saying that's what ur OBGYN recommened, just to get her off your back.

First off, your pregnant, your baby comes first! Family second, then friends. Feed that kid so when it's born it's ready to head off to college :-) Seriously though, I wouldn't worry about it to much. If she is a true, good friend, after she's calmed down she'll realize you were right. And if she doesn't, then you really don't need that kind of friend. We should be able to tell our friends the truth, always, yes it may hurt a few feelings, but yes we really are made better by hearing the truth. You can always try calling her. See how she responds, but you shouldn't have to apologize for telling her the truth.

Uhh, that's pretty pathetic. Your friend is one of those that has to talk about their diet to make them feel better about doing it. That just shows how hard it is for her to stay with it (and she probably isn't). A lot of people that fail with dieting like to deflect the guilt by telling others about how well they're doing.
You're pregnant hun! There's no reason why you shouldn't be eating often and in large amounts. The last thing you want to do is starve the baby...

She is releasing her stress and the pressure of dieting on you. She may feel still feel insecure about her looks or have low self-esteem, therefore, she ignores her own need to look within herself to fix the problem, and instead, puts all the attention on you. She tends to be negative towards you because that is how she feels about herself. The best thing to do is to support her and ask her to do the same to you, or have some distance between the two of you so she can have some time to think about her actions.

She is ashamed for acting the way she did towards you but doesn't know how to bridge the gap. Send her a funny friendship card and say: "this card reminded me of you, and I just had to share it with you", wait for her response - if she doesn't respond - let it go.

a side effect to them. just like anything you take to lose weight
it may not be a good idea. for her to being doing this. as for
you. your concern is the health of your child. and you need to
