Your question assumes they will be "outlawed". Given that there have been quite a number of previous Democrat Presidents and it hasn't happened, this seems very, very unlikely.

If they were to be outlawed (again, this will probably not happen) a large number of Americans probably would run out to buy them, since for the most part Americans are not stupid.

Also, if a democrat is elected President - probably more people would have enough money to buy guns, ha ha!

We have more guns than most if not all other Countries. Besides, we also have more gun deaths than any other western democracy. Why is that? Why do we have so many murders with guns? Why do we have so many gun accidents? Why do so many people commit suicide with guns in America?
If we elect a Democratic President in 2008, the crime rate will start going back down. War always creates a rising crime rate because war spreads the lesson that solving problems with guns is appropriate. Of course, solving problems with guns is a crime rate in the making.
The simplistic ideas of an advertisement campaign are not helpful if you are looking for actual solutions to problems like guns in the wrong hands for the wrong reasons.
Does fear motivate you more than information or thought processing?
Is the big bad wolf going to get you at night? Does you monster under the bed have a gun?

i'm not a dem as i have no party loyalty. most would consider me a lib,even though i don't fit the stereotypes. why would i rush to buy firearms? i own quite a few and i have never seen a time dems or repubs have restricted that right. it is another BS political lie that anyone seeks to take our guns. i can buy any gun,but can only posess full automatics legally with a FFL class 3 license. do most citizens need full auto?
most libs i knoew own guns,in fact of the people i know cons own no guns or less guns. it is not a political thing,it is a personal choice people make.
