I just got one from dell and i'm not sure if it's good. What about an Intel Core 2 Duo E6300/E6600? Which is better ??

The E6600 would be a little better, but the one you have is a very very good processor, so nothing to worry about. You need a good video card, 256MB or more contrary to what the one guy said.

That AMD is good enough for ANYTHING! It literally blows the Intel one on most multimedia and games because the hypertransport technology.

On most other applications, the Intel will be (much) better.

Whatever good a microprocessor might be, don't forget that it pays to have a good graphic card; 250 Mb would be best. I suggest you to go for some nVidia compatible card, because most of the games come optimised for that card.

(Dell is not making microprocessors; it's just some retail)

For sure, make sure you got a high-end video card with 32-64mb video ram. Also 1gb of regular memory, like 1gb DDR RAM. Should be just fine to play anything out. I prefer AMD over Intel, always had better performance and durability.
