I truly believe in telling the truth...... but at the risk of hurting someone's feelings? Gosh, that's always the hard one! But if they simply come out and aske me for help..... I have to be honest. It's definitely kind to be cruel IF you know it will eventually help them correct whatever the problem is. It's cruel to be kind and cover it up if you know they will continue to get hurt by this issue day in and day out.
I've lost friends for telling them like it is. I've had friends that have grown closer to me for having the nerve to face them. You just never ever know how people are going to react.

No, but sometimes you have to be cruel to be kind. It all depends on the situation and whether your doing the person a favour.
