Belle information is correct one thing she left out is this medication can cause dependency. It can be caused by the medication being used regularly for an extended time or if its been used in high doses. In such cases withdrawal reactions may occur.which are anxiety, sweating sleeplessness, shaking etc..
I wanted to add that this medication can cause dependency because I have had to deal with this side effect. If these answer don't help please consult you doctor or pharmacist. Most pharmacist do give you a pamphlet with your prescription. It can give you a more detailed list of side effects.

Tramadol is the generic form of Ultram. I've taken both & both work the same for me, the former being cheaper by far.

You didn't give a lot of information so here goes my best suggestions.

Follow the directions CAREFULLY!! You can't take more than one pill at a time every 12 hours. Taking 2 or more can result in shortness of breath, an asthma attack if prone to asthma, the shakes, sweating, etc. Take it at bedtime as it WILL make you sleepy. I took it about 60-90 minutes before bed so that I'd sleep better. I always took it with a bit of food, 1 slice of toast, 1/2 a bagel or muffin & 8 oz of water.

In the source below is the link to the webmd.com site about this drug. Be sure to read EVERYTHING on Tramadol. It works well for arthritis, headaches, migraines & joint pain. I no longer take it as my body became immune to the drug's effects & no longer works.
