something techno gadgety or a leatherman style pocket knife
( i bought a snap on blue point one for christmas with wooden inlaid handles for $35 )
tip : shop on ebay - that's whwre the cheap stuff is

They really like Leatherman Knives. Or Swiss army knives...stuff like that.
Cologne and clothing is too risky. Good luck.
