Maybe you should let her out of the kitchen more often and respect the fact that she is still there in it! Obviously things in your relationship are not going well and she is reaching out for some help in dealing with her issues , it obvious she cannot talk to you. Maybe you should try being resonable, discuss issues with her as they happen, and work for solving issues and finding a meeting point.
