I added an upgrade to my computer that was reccommended when I visited & it changed my homepage to yahoo. I am running a business on my pc & now I cant find my mailbox. When I click on mail, it takes me to my yahoo mailbox. I cannot run my business without my original homepage which has info that I need & mailbox so I'd like to remove this upgrade from my pc- I cannot find it anywhere & all I remember of the name of it is something 7 (or maybe 7.0) Please help. This is a very bad emergency for my business. I know if I saw the name of the upgrade somewhere I'd recognize it & am hoping you know what upgrade I speak of, and can guide me to where I would find & remove it. Thank you

My guess is that you updated to IE 7. You can go to "Start", then "Control Panel", then "Add or Remove Programs". It's listed as "Windows IE7". Since you feel you'd recognize it if you saw it, & IE7 isn't what you're talking about, then go to the same place & at the top of the "Add or Remove Programs" page, check the box that says "Show Updates". The updates you have installed will then be on the list. If all else fails, restore your computer to a previous date! If it is IE7 & you want to keep the upgrade, check the blue & white house in the tool bar. One of the options is "Add or change home page". Hope this helps!

The upgrade was Internet Explorer 7.0. During setup it asks if you would like to change your homepage. If you do like me and just keep clicking until its done you will have a new homepage. Removing internet explorer 7.0 will not set your homepage back to what it was.

To fix it go to your "control panel" (go to start and then click on control panel)
Then click on "internet options"
In the box labeled homepage type in whatever the webpage you want is.

Easy fix! You upgraded your browser and it changed your default mail to yahoo mail.

Click tools->browser options and change your email preferences there.

If you use XP and the browser option doesn't work, do a system restore to a date prior to when you "upgraded".

start->all prgrams->accessories->system tools->system restore.

This will get you back to the way you were and won't lose any data that you need.
