go with the 30gb. you can play videos and hold a LOT more than the 8gh nano... for the same price. It would be a stupid choice to get the nano. 30gb ALL THE WAY!!

Personally, I'd go with the Nano. It's smaller and so fits in a pocket easier and 8GB is still a lot of music. I have a 4GB Nano and I love it. HOWEVER....if you want to carry music, movies, podcasts and other assorted data you need to reconsider the 30GB iPod. I guess it just depends on what you want it for. Music = Nano, everything=iPod. Easy really :-)

definitely the 30gb ipod with video. it has so many cabapabilities.
You can play videos, movies, games, store photos, convert it to a hard drive (to store files), and sync your email address book to it.

Also. the 30 gig is the exact same price as the 8 gig. with 8gb you can hold about 2000 songs, the 30 gig holds 7500 songs. hope that helped you decide. I have a 30g video, i am never without it.

Also, you don't have to buy every single song you put in your ipod from itunes. Upload your favorite CD's and there are also shareware programs such as Kazaa, Morpheus and Limewire (to name a few) that you can use to add music to your ipod. So you can't think in terms of 99 cents per song.

8gb Nano. (That 2000 songs! 99 cents per song = $1980 to fill your nano.) $ 249
30 gb Ipod (7,500 songs! 99 cents per song= $7425 to fill ipod)
Ipod Price: $249

Personally who can listen to 7500 songs! Keep with the Nano, it sleek and has color (like the skin!) It also newer and more cool and trendy.
If you got a computer or a good harddrive to hold all the songs then keep with the Nano, You can switch around.
But of you don't just get the ipod. You will never repeat the songs, well maybe not in another like 10 hours.

Hope it helps

it depends how much you`ll be listening to it and how much variety you want. it takes a long time to use up 8gb but if you'll be wanting to download films as well as music i`d definitely go for the 30gb.

Always go for the most storage space as you can store loads of high quaily stuff.

I'd rather go with capacity more than the looks, because if you go with looks that look is someday going to fade away, but with more capacity, it will come handy... I'd go with iriver, there sound quality is brilliant 100x better then ipod...

they have 80gb iriver it can play mp4 and mp3...
