Short story. Took a bath several days ago using bath oil beads. Skin feels great, but I've got a killer itch in the nether regions. I've showered, bathed, tried cream too. But my rear won't stop itching. Any ideas for something that will help? No, unfortunately I'm not joking, but it would be very funny if it didn't hurt. LOL

Golden rule of yeast infections...never use oils of any sort in that area. some people have made use of baby oil, for example, just to find out the hard way that it is one of the biggest culprits for YI.
You can use an over the counter medication like Monistat etc. Some people have adverse reactions to these medications and you may need to use a prescription like Diflucan.

It sounds like you have a contact dermatitis (fancy word for skin irritation) in response to the bath beads. That's pretty common, and it's best for most of us to avoid products that have perfumes or colors in them. Those additives are often the cause of dermatitis. If you changed any other soaps, i.e. laundry soap, that could cause it. too.

It's also possible that you have a vulvitis or vaginitis as a result of a fungal or bacterial infection.

Yeast infections are characterized by a thick white, yellow or greenish discharge that looks like cottage cheese, but you may still have one even if there isn't too much of a discharge.

It could also be a bacterial infection. Those are characterized by a watery grey discharge that has a terrible odor, fishy, especially after you have sex.

The only way for sure to know is to go to see a doctor. You can also try a cortisone cream in the mean time. It's OK to do that temporarily. But don't douche, that may make things worse.

Good luck, and I hope you feel better soon!

You may have developed a yeast infection; if you have never had one, it is characterized by a terrible, maddening itch and usually a white discharge. Most over-the-counter remedies work ok on it. You might also try using a medicated douche. Wear cotton underwear, not nylon, and don't wear panties a night so air can circulate. Stay away from anymore perfumed bath products. If the over-the-counter stuff doesn't work, you need to get to the doctor.

Sounds like a yeast infection so pick up some athletes foot cream or vaginal yeast cream. Since this happened with bath oil beads you should stay away from using products in the bath tub and stick to showers.

Conditioning baby shampoo is good. It is less costly than the cat shampoo in pet shops and can last a long time since cats don't bath that much. That is what I use for the kitties in my life. =) Head and shoulders is not suitable for cats. It's an anti-dandruff shampoo that contains chemicals which can be harsh on animals. Personally, I do not use conditioner on cats.

You had an allergic reaction. Put some cortizone lotion on it, and stay away from the oils. If it doesn't get better, then you need to see a doctor. If the itch in in personal areas, don't use the cortizone, as it could be too strong. Call your doctor.
