You want to do something that gives you self worth. That is very admerable. Because worthiness is the quality or state of having merit or value in the world usually involving the helping of others.
I think that you should look at your life and how you live it. What is it that you can contribute to help others. Well you can start with volunteering at a local mission feeding the homeless. That kind of work is not only gratifying but immediate. And see what you can do to make yourself feel worthy whether it's treating yourself better, making positive changes, or surrounding yourself with positive people.
So suggestions are volunteer at a mission, local hospice center, or a suicide hotline.

We all can, everyday. Just be a good person; honest, caring, unselfish and look for ways to make the world a better place.

Have a goal, work on it, and become someone. Once you've become someone, help others to become somebody.
