im looking to buy a car and i just saw the mercury milan. i was wondering if it is worth buy or not. but at the same time my husband wants to buy a ford fusion. what car would be better to buy first, if either. if neither car is good what should i get?

The Milan & Fusion are virtually the same car, with some cosmetic differences.
The Fusion being less expensive & therefore more popular, has achieved great success & is highly acclaimed.
It is on the cover of the December issue of Consumer Report Magazine.
It is also currantly outselling all of its major competitors(ie; Camry, Accord, & Altima)

In the cases of Milan/Fusion. that would include all wheel drive, whereas the Accord & Camry do not offer AWD, & still cost thou$and$ more ! You may adjust the comparison to suit your tastes.

From there you should check & read the formal complaints about the 07 (all new design) Camry!
At this writing there are 97(the number increases daily) safety complaints for Camry..... ZERO for 07 Fusion.
Your decision is really about looks when it comes between the Fusion & Milan, because they are virtually the same other than that. The Milan is built on the same frame, to correct a previous answer.

Some people on here are correct. The Ford and the Mercury are the same. Only differnce is the trim. One isn't any heavier then the other. I would say go with the FORD FUSION. People will argue with these but dont buy a toyota. There crappy cars, people like them because of the mileage and that they're cheap. Just like those TOYOTA TRUCK guys. So over rated and weak!

Ford, Lincoln and Mercury are all made by the same company. Which ever one you like best. For example, Ford Taurus and Mercury Sable, same car, different trim.

the cars are the sAME PLATFORM. THE MERC WILL BE A LITTLE HIGHER, HENCE UR HUBBY'S DESIRE TO BUY THE FORD. THE MERC WILL HAVE MORE OPTIONS AS IT IS A LITTLE HIGHER CLASS CAR. but they are made on the same platform by the same hands.. either one is a great choice. good luck.. and persuade ur hubby with love.. u will b drivin the milan tomorrow. just wear him out with ur lovin

Same vehicle, the difference is in small cosmetic details, and a few different options available. Plus the Mercury has a heavier frame than the Ford does.
