YOU don't decide when, HE does! He will ask when he's ready. Be patient and don't rush it especially if everything is going well. If you push the issue, it might scare him off.

There really is no set time to wait before getting married. You could date someone for 10 years but if you've never discussed things like children, finances, future goals and religion, you still aren't ready to tie the knot. Wait until you are stable and you both know what you want from yourselves as individuals, as well as each other. As far as love goes, you'll know when he's the one you want to spend the rest of your life with.
