As of 01/15/07, the Rockets are 9-2 without Yao and have won 9 out of their last 10 games. They are currently tied for 4th in the Western conference.

Dikembe Mutombo and Juwan Howard have recently tapped into the fountain of youth. Mutombo is averaging double digit rebounds, and Howard is averaging double digit scoring. Tracy McGrady is seemingly over his injury. He had a streak of games in which he scored 30+ points, and if his points are down, his assists are way up. Rafer Alston is slowly creeping out of his shooting slump, as is Luther Head.

If the Rockets can keep up their winning pace until Yao gets back in March, this will be a very good team. They will definitely make the playoffs. That doesn't mean they'll go all the way, but I hope they do. Go Rockets!

Well i hope they get to the playoffs and upset in the first round. But with Yao out of the line up the team needs to step up. I hope Yao gets better quick

OK, but the Suns look like the team to beat in the west right now. The east will be more competitive play off time.

Houston has won 25 with 13 loses. They are 3rd in the southwest division. If they don't start winning more games, Rockets will not make the playoffs.
