Serious PMS

If you started your period 2 days ago and the bleeding has now stopped, then you ARE NOT suffering from PMS. PMS is pre-menstrual syndrome, which refers to the set of discomforts that begin showing up sometime between the time we ovulate and the time we start bleeding. Moodiness can be a part of PMS, but it can be part of your entire cycle. You experience the most intense hormonal changes during your period, and even though your's has ended for the month, it can still take a few days for your hormones to even out. You'll be feeling more like yourself in a few days. I'm sure that starting your period was an emotional experience in itself, add dealing with the hormone changes on top of that and it totally explains the way you are feeling. As the months go on and your cycle regulates, you'll learn how to deal with the mood swings a little better ... and at least you will know to expect them!

you are feeling all the things you should be feeling the first time you get your period. for the first 6months to a year, your period will be very irregular, meaning you might have it one day and not the next....you might even skip 2 months without having your period...dont freak out, its totallly normal for all of this to happen...as far as the crying and getting mad goes, dont worry that will settle into your body a little better as time goes on...pms gets better with age and time, so dont worry too much...i am 20 yrs old and i still take it out on my boyfriend, but like i said, your hormones are unbalences when your on your period...so dont worry, its all normal.. also, sometimes you'll have mood swings even when your not on ur period...why? bc ur body goes thru pms weeks before your period, where you have an attitude or even cry for no reason....and your body goes thru pms after you have finished your period...not all the time, but some girls go thru that post-pms.... its ok, the worst part is the begining...

good luck! your now a woman! so becareful with what you do bc now your body is offically able to get pregnant...be safe, always.

At your age periods can be very irregular for a long time. It is very normal for a young woman to have short periods or longer ones or to skip some or for them to come too often. Give yourself 6 months and then see if you are regular. If you are still not regular, ask your doctor. They may tell you to wait a little longer or to come in for a check.

You might just explain to your friends that you are a little nuts right now. If they have their periods they will for sure understand. Make a joke of it and tell them that if you get real bad they should throw candy bars and potato chips at you and then run for their lives. A good girlfriend is important at times like this!

Not anymore? As in its been a month or more and it hasn't come again?

If it's just alittle late maybe a few days even a week or two don't sweat it.

If your like me, you might have a totally unregular period. I had mine kinda late. I was 14. Had it once and didn't have a period for like 3, 4 months, even a year once! It was so unregular I finally went to a Gynocologist. It won't hurt you to not have one, but its healthier that you do. So you might need a check-up "down there".

Talk to your mom or school nurse if you need to.

WHAT!? what is your question exactly. Your speaking so erratically it sounds like this was your first time being drunk not your first period. It sounds like you have a case of PMS only post menstrual. Change can make people snappy and that's probably why you are mad at your friends and why you want to cry for no reason. When things go back to normal you will get used to your cycle and hopefully these things will slowly change. If not, you might want to seek professional help.

During your period, everyone goes through some emotional stuff. I get moody and I get mad at the littlest things. It's normal, especially when you just got your period for the first time. Just try keeping a positive attitude and keep going on with your life. Keeping yourself occupied with fun things to do will help you forget about your negativity.

Yeah, when I got my period first time it came really heavy then it was barely there. Talk to your friends about what you're going through. They will catch up soon enough, who knows maybe one of them alreaday has hers too. When you are feeling moody it's PMS (pre menstural syndrome) take some time off to be by yourself, read a book or take a warm bubble bath. There is a really good website called beinggirl.com you will find a lot of useful information there, I did. Good luck!!

It's ok sweetie; it is just pms. It will make you either super irritable or depressed and weepy at anything. A lot of us crave either chocolate or salty stuff like chips then too. Pamprin PMS formula is good; it will help relax you. It will pass, but now you will know what to expect. Just talk to your mom or another older female relative or friend about it; they'll help you through this.

Feeling that way is normal this time of the month. Just keep in mind that the things you are feeling arent real and are just caused by hormones. 1st periods can be really lite, that is normal. Write down the date you started so you can be more prepared for the mood swings next month.

When I get this way, I try to pamper myself. Here are some suggestions:

Take a bath or shower, trim your nails, put on lotion, put on some very comfortable clothes, have something hot to drink, read a book or magazine or watch a brainless TV show. Turn off the phone/cell phone/ etc. Don't communicate or associate with others until you are feeling better.
