Storms are getting stronger by the season due to the effects of rapidly changing weather conditions. How do we reverse Global Warming so that our children's children will not have to live in a volatile environment?

I've forgotten to add that the change in weather patterns are not just due to global warming, deforestation also contributes to the changes in weather.

The only way to reverse global warming would be through a huge planetary program. It would be expensive, so your taxes are going up and you're paying more for most products, especially gasoline. It would also be disruptive to the world economies, so unemployment goes up and their go taxes and inflation again.

The U.S. could probably have a big internal impact by taxing gasoline more and removing coal subsidies. We'd have to begin taxing coal and keep raising fuel taxes to keep momentum. Basically that would force people to move to cleaner fuel. It happened we gas went over 2.50 a gallon a couple years ago, so we could make it happen again. How to force other countries to bend to our will I don't know. I guess you tell China and India they don't get the advantages we did so just go back to the third world.

The other problem is that an extra few degrees might be good for the world over all. It will open up farming in Canada and Russia. Greenland will be much more green and real estate prices in the Antarctic are already going up.

I guess what it come down to is Global Warming is here to stay. Move away from the coast and make the most of it.

Obviously there is more at hand than the environment. The economic interests of the "perpetrators" speak very loudly to our governments.

It is generally accepted but not proven beyond any reasonable doubt that global warming is caused by anthropogenic emissions and the physical and chemical transformations they cause. These mechanisms have been in place since the dawn of time.

Nonetheless, for those who believe mankind is somehow responsible, which we may, the Kyoto Protocol has been invented. The USA is the last remaining significant country to not ratify (accept and agree to adhere to) this thing.

There may be a point to not entering this agreement.

There is no evidence whatsoever that humans have any impact on climate. The hypothesis that CO2 causes warming remains unproven.
Storms are not getting stronger by the season. The number of hurricanes was far less in 2006 than it was in 2005. The cost of extreme weather has increased only because more people live near the cost and repair costs have risen.
Most of all don't be fooled by alarmist media reports written by journalists who know nothing about science and prefer a scary story to an honest report.

Where has John M been living? Obviously not here on earth. God - people like these are dangerous!! Global warming IS A FACT!!

Reversing its manifestation would be to stop burning fossil fuels - but this does not agree with current "democratic" economies!

Not driving is not possiblt. but If you have to drive, try to leave your big pickup or SUV at home, drive a gas-saving car. less emissions. Or, if you can afford it, buy a hybrid car. That's what I'm going to do next.

Luckily it is getting really cold all over the US. So we don't have to ground all the jet traffic yet.

i think its too late and no matter what it was going to happen sooner or later but because of us it is sooner, and will most likely happen in 40 years or so... but we can at least slow it down by using solar electricity and not burning fossil fuels...

Take busses, buy less cheap crap that you don't need, ride your bike, don't run the ac, etc. By the way, storms aren't getting 'that' much worse yet.
